As Military vehicle weight increases to counter the growing threat of IED's and RPG's, new levels of performance are demanded from track and suspension systems to maintain vital mobility and reliability.
Icon Polymer's extensive catalogue of approved compounds, including leading brand ENDURANCE® and the widely used 1450®, have been uniquely formulated and processed to provide excellent resistance to heat build-up and 'chip & chunk', the two most common modes of failure for tracked vehicle running gear. The process of integrating these materials to form highly reliable components is precision controlled using our unique i-PC™ (Icon Process Control) System.
Our expertise goes beyond track running gear, we're proud of our contribution to the rapid design, qualification and manufacture of the IED Resistant Vehicle Protection Systems that have been used successfully to protect personnel operating in upgraded platforms, such as the Warrior Fighting Vehicle.

IED Resistant Vehicle Armour and Blast Mitigating Components
Icon Polymer designs and manufactures the latest polymer composite IED Resistant Vehicle Armour and explosion mitigating components used in blast attenuating seating and floor systems. From individual components to complete assemblies Icon Polymer is able to deliver effective solutions that will counter the increasing threat posed by Improvised Explosive Devices.
Endurance® - Road Wheels, Rollers and Track Tensioner
Icon Polymer's market leading compounds including ENDURANCE® can be moulded on to the road wheels, rollers and track tensioners of Tank's, APC's and IFV's. Our compounds provide excellent grip and anti-vibration characteristics and for ultimate performance and durability are precision transfer bonded to Cast or Forged Aluminium and Steel.
Endurance® - Track Pads and Bushes
The ENDURANCE® range of compounds can also be moulded into Track Pads that have exceptional bonding characteristics and deliver durability whilst reducing vibration and noise. Our Track Pads and Bushes have high hot tear strengths and provide a long service life in the harshest operating environments.
Suspension Components
SILENTBLOC® manufactures Military Land Systems suspension components including : Resilient Bushes, Torsion Bushes, Spherical Bearings, Lateral Control Link Assemblies, Torque-Reaction Links and Anti-Roll Bar Systems. We design and manufacture high performance parts that maximise manoeuvrability, reliability, maintain suspension height (critical in IED protection) and give a smooth ride.
Breathing Hose
Icon Polymer is a world leading supplier of crush resistant air and oxygen supply hose systems. We manufacture CBRNe (chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear) compliant systems which are available in low, medium or high pressure configurations. We can incorporate integral communications leads and special end fittings as standard.
Track Guards and Structural Components
Icon Polymer Track Guards are made from highly durable fabric reinforced polymer compound and have kept personnel and civilians safe from track debris for more than 30 years.
