To help armed forces achieve and increase their global reach strategies, Icon Polymer has designed and manufactured safety-critical in-flight refuelling hoses for military applications for over 30 years. During this time we have worked in close partnership with our customers, end-users and suppliers to deliver solutions that optimise weight, durability and flow rate within the restricted confines of an aircraft. Produced to exacting standards, all Icon hoses comply with DEF STAN 00-970, DEF STAN 05-123 & MIL-H-4495D specifications, and are supplied with Icon Braidlock end couplings. 

Icon Polymer is a world leading supplier of aircraft oxygen-supply hose systems. We manufacture CBRNe (chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear) compliant systems which are available in low, medium or high pressure configurations. We can incorporate integral communications leads and special end fittings as standard. Also, for those travelling beyond our atmosphere we can supply breathing components suitable for use in space vehicles.

Icon Polymer offers an extensive range of aerospace ducting from single to complex multi-branch architecture. We combine unique low-density polymer formulations with engineered fabrics and highly skilled hand fabrication techniques to provide a superior flexible, lightweight alternative to conventional ducting. We continually seek to add value by using our deep knowledge of military aerospace applications combined with innovation. For example, Icon Polymer has integrated seals into ducts. A small design change that has a big effect. This combined design reduces stress points and leak paths to deliver dramatically improved reliability and increased performance.

Silicone and Polychloroprene formulations provide excellent sealing characteristics over a wide range of operating temperatures, when combined into composite materials with engineered fabrics such as glass cloth and polyester the performance can be enhanced even further. Applications include Canopy And Hatch Seals, Aerodynamic Wing Fillet Seals and Inflatable Seals.  Sealing sections are available in a range of configurations with metal or composite inserts for both increased strength and easy mounting. We offer a wide range of polymer formulations including compounds that are tested and approved to AC20-135 for use in fire proof seal applications.

Icon Polymer engine mounts are designed to withstand the immense forces found in aircraft applications. Our specialist anti-vibration engine mounts use high grade elastomeric materials chemically bonded to exotic aerospace grade metals to give outstanding performance and durability, even in the most hostile environments.
